Trials, Tribulations and Triumphs of being 3,473 Miles from Upton Park and West Ham United (Aug 2011 - May 2016)
Apologies to all, but I'm just not well enough to come up with something of a suitable standard. I'm sure the fact that we lost SIx Nil hasn't helped, but I am no way trying to dodge the bullet - a revolver full in fact. All seems quit fitting somehow ! C'mon You Irons "Cardiff To The Sword !"
get well soon AP & lets hope today that we win 4-0 ,the Un-Chosen One is fuming storms back to the dressing room and lets rip into the players shouting " im the un-chosen one and i decide when you lot can try and win and when its not worth bothering trying to but just go through the motions and look like you gave a shit, you do as i tell you,and i told you dont take any chances be defensive and you lot go and score 4 bloody goals im sick to death will the lot of you and them deluded bastards in claret and blue, then storms out of the dressing room to do the after match interview for the press then gets back to the team coach and heads off back to the boleyn ground but on the motorway the team bus crashes into ditch and bursts into flames none of the players are on the bus with the un-chosen one because they all put a cardboard cut out of themselves that they had been using on the pitch for the last 2 months in the seats instead its announced on the news later that the un-chosen one will not be returning yo the game because of injuries and quits,THE chairmen are over the moon because they dont have to pay him millioms for being useless and invite the claret and blue army down to the boleyn pub for as many drinks and as many porn birds as we like whilst joining in a rousing rendition of bubbles and Ding dong the witch is dead the witch is dead
Lets hope a win at Cardiff will put a smile on your face and back on your feet!!COYI!! & Mr P!!
A good plan from "The slippery one" ! Get well Mr P. I don't think you owe anything, but those paid to perform and coach should have very sore knees by now.
Greetings, we'll we got the win t Cardiff, let's hope we don't mess it up against the Toons. Couldn't listen to the lasive minutes on Five Live didn't think the old ticker could take it. But pure ecstasy whenef my boys shout down "it's 2 nil".Been watching the posts over the last few games and agree with what has been said but been too depressed to chip in. The worst thing was the lack of passion and pride but they seem to have started to remedy that today, will watch the game on Sky later.Think we are stuck with Sam but if if we can keep the injuries and red cards down and get a couple of decent signings we should be alright!Get well soon AP
Thanks to you all for the kind words, I'm still under heavy manners but on the mend. Not quite sure how, but caught pneumonia - typical West Ham can't catch a cold ! I reckon Alf was on the block down Tiger Bay way and we can count ourselves lucky that the first half goaline decision went our way (it looked Kosher on my box), didn't see anything after Carlton put us in front had to deal with the doctor.
Now, when it comes to Manchester City. His record is really hot. Let the people themselves.Look http://www.wysjg.com/manchester-city-c-1_91/, you'll understand.
Well I always thought it would be nice to have the odd A List comment on Saitch, but I must say that when it happened I thought there might be more to it than someone trying to flog some Citeh deadstock ! Now there might will be some wicked Mancs' humour in the above comment, but I'm afraid Mr David it's lost on me ! By the way - very unusual first name that - Beckham.
yup, baffled me too. looks like some kind of retro site (or maybe all sites emanating from Manchester do?)
Do they have any Mike Summerbee or Francis Lee quilted nylon rally jackets with "go faster" stripes up the sleeve Filthy ?
yup...along with a whole range of "comb over wigs". You've mentioned 2 names there that were magic to my boyhood ears despite who they played for. Franny Lee- toilet paper mogul if I'm not mistaken.Maybe we'll get Carol Andy posting?!

here's a more interesting link: www.tiht.org.uk me and some other West Ham fans have set up a trust to bring back lifeboats made by the Thames Ironworks for the RNLI, restore them, and put them to work on east London's waterways educating visitors to the Olympic Park about the areas industrial history. We would welcome your support, Kosmo.
Francis Lee as a lavatory paper kingpin ! Well I never Filthy - the things you can learn on Saitch ! I wonder if he has a special sheet on Wiki about it ?
Shiver Me Timbers - Gavin's post on the Thames Ironworks Lifeboat Restoration Caper turns out to be kosher ! Do take a look - turns out many a RNLI lifeboat was once Hammers' made. Lifeboats - West Ham, makes sense when you think about it, I've even emailed them too Gavin
Tip o' the cap from me too, Gavin. Go to it, and good luck!!
Cheers chaps. We're actually planning to bring four back eventually (our first one is already in Canning Town waiting for us to get a boatyard). The Thames Ironworks were the sole builder of lifeboats for the RNLI between 1897 and when they closed in 1912. This is the annual accounts from 1900, which tells you about the relationship they enjoyed. http://www.flickr.com/photos/tihtuk/9771068662/Plenty more pics on there and more info on our facebook page:www.facebook.com/tihtuk
Time to pray? the good thing about this is that it was a while ago and doesn't hurt so much. What's the scoop on the figure? is it a particular saint? Patron saint of revival I hope.
I'd be lying to say I know who it is Filthy, but I'm praying it's not Saint Jude !
Saint Benedict the (Bobby ) Moor ..St Benedict of PalermoBenedict the Moor, O.F.M., (Italian: Benedetto da San Fratello, 1526 – April 4, 1589) was an Italian Franciscan friar in Sicily who is venerated as a saint in the Catholic and Lutheran churches. Born of African slaves, he was freed at birth and became known for his charity. As a young man he joined a Franciscan-affiliated hermit group, whose leader he became. In 1564 he was sent to the Franciscan friary in Palermo, where he continued good works.Good Choice A.P. St Benedict the Bobby Moor...thought he looked more like St Clyde the Cyril BestI wish that the team we had tonight at Stamford Bridge..sorry the Spirit and Fight of that West Ham team had them belts that the Tomorrow People used to have and it could 'Jaunt' back to that night at The' Etihad'nt' and give Citeh a proper game...i'll try and dream about what if lter when im in the Land of Nod...nice saitch AP

Has the tide turned ? Let us pray...By the way he looks a bit like a young St John of Charles, but "'ere 'ere" on the Saintly Research front Slippery, once again you are a mine of information.
