West Ham United v. Leicester City

  1. Seems to be the consensus. And they're right.
Absolutely abysmal reffin, and sadly cost us big time in the end.
    He's got previous too.

On the whole it wasn't a great show but early days yet. At least we tried to play some football. Much better watching that than the turgid dross from the end of last season.
Some very bright sparks in there. Notable mentions again to all the new guys and even the stalwarts looked like they could be better in the new system.

Gonna be a rough 3 games, I hope Randolf steps up otherwise that will be a big hole to dig out of. BTW I personally think it was a yellow all day every day , but a red was seriously harsh / incompetent depending on your view. Think we'll get Greeny in or go with a Randolph and a prayer?

  2. Better watching indeed. The ref deserves the stick he's been getting. here's hoping for the next 3!

  3. A penalty just before half time with Casper sent off and I reckon we would have won and San Miguel would be playing against Bournemouth. Adrian's red was completely off the mark - he clearly had his eye on the ball the whole time - as Smitty says a yellow for sure, but never a red !
I actually thought we were a bit lackluster (tre?) as both halves wore on and Jenko will have to do better with the crosses, still it was his first game - so lets have some Saturday as I will be there !

  4. Agreed, although it's funny I'd have thought we'd all be agreed on that , but looking at KUMB it seems we can't. Ain't it great!!

Jenks and Cresswell weren't all that, but I still feel better this season.
Gonna be excitin, what with DR between the sticks. Will he, won't he?
Personally I'd like to think he will and wish him well. Not convinced though so could be a shoot out. Shame we ain't got many shooters. Look out though for Linguini I think he's gonna be good.
Hope it's a memorable one for you Mr P.

  5. Been charging about The Smoke to keep up on all things Hammers, but #2 son said there was a chance Robert Green would return - if he does - straight between the sticks says AP - What I've seen of Randy he aint very 'andy and it could go Bandy ( I know stick to the Art and lay off the poetry).

  6. UYeah I heard they were looking a Greeny but seems that went pear shaped because the replacement failed a medical, but I read they were going for a Manure reject. Not up on if that worked out. tbf I think we should give DR a show against Bornmouth see if he's slow, you never know till you give it a go. Must be an extra large dose of Longfellows in the air lately.

  8. Did tour of Boleyn Ground yesterday and the pitch is looking double handsome, which is more than can be said for the changing rooms, especially the away. If you ever wondered what Tiny was looking at on that computer screen tucked away by his throne in the stands - it's most likely horse racing !

  9. Could well be my last visit Filthy, something I'm not sure I can get my head around. But there is a good chance Is Saitch Yer Daddy will be featured in the match programme and me and the family have been invited as guests of West Ham, so it's a Freemans !!!

  10. I'm glad the sward is fit for battle and I'd like to think in keeping with the finest traditions of keeping it real there is a man in a flat at and wellies spraying the changing rooms with L'Essence de Sloans. Soon to be part of history as we will start the OS with L'Essence de Nowt

  11. If the away team have to use the public laves at the Olympic Smitty, I bet it will still be a step up from The Boleyn away changing room.

  12. Forgot to add I read a distressing statistic about Randy's form against Bournemouth while at Brum. According to Metro (underground free paper) he's let in 16 goals in his last 3 appearances against them ! What me worry ? Nah - Cmon You Irons !

  13. I seeChairman Sullivan has been producing a new Krays movie and likes it so much he's been giving it rave reviews under other names. He should probably stick to movie review instead of putting his foot in his gob talking about possible transfers.
