  2. Must confess I was offered a ticket at the Stop Hammertime podcast Filthy the Wednesday before, but with much to do and only a few days to do it in I decided against a trip to Merseyside. Still I did announce "on air" ("on pod" ?) that a win at Anfield was the only option ! Backed with my new "long distance secret weapon" - Chocolate Weetabix it was a Saturday to savour !

  3. Seems like a long long time ago but the memory is burned in. I can see it all now.
Linguini is gonna be a monster for us, Nobes deserved his and lovely shot. Sacko to finish it off was just the extra cherry on the top that will warm the cockles for many years.

Wasn't it great!! For the travelling faithful I can't even begin to imagine the feeling.

  4. When Noble got the red (Euros included how many does that make ? now overturned I know) I did calm down, but when the third one went in I gave a riotous rendition of "Knees Up Muvver Brown" as South London may have heard since VE Day. One of The Away Faithful - Rob Forbes was up there for his 50th Birthday - can you imagine ?

  5. Two wins by shutouts and two close losses. No f..king ties. Just the way things should be!

  6. Ahoy there Clueless - I like your "Death or Glory" approach - next up Newcastle on Monday - time for Super Slav's first home win of the season ! We've got the juice !!

  7. With all my Jet-Setting about, I've forgotten to comment on what I consider to be some very good business in the transfer window - some real potential in and some underwhelming out ! Also noted Anthony "red card" Taylor is the ref against the Barcodes - so we're going to need some depth, whilst current habits get sorted !

  8. Personally I think there'll be a lot of that this go round.
I don't think we'll se a lot of draws. Lot of 10 men if we don't sort ourselves though. Or we stop getting that particular geezer with the whistle. ( I think there a couple of others as well, can't remember their manes though) Not that we can't do it with 10 nowadays!!

We should batter Newky, 10 or not.
    COYI !!

  9. "Batter" Smitty ! You're certainly in the lmmd to have a go ! Whilst in The Smoke I made my annual appearance on the Stop Hammertime Podcast (shout to Phil Whelans and Jim Grant) during which Sam Delaney made the comment "Julian Dicks is in charge of training and we're picking up red cards left, right and centre - well I never !"

  10. I stand corrected. With pin point passing to inventive running with smooth silky moves and daring do dash we will blind them with our skills and be 2 up in 10 minutes.
If that's not happening after the 10 mins Super Slav can go have a cup o tea , put Dicksy in the chair, then we'll batter em.

  11. There's talk of AC returning on Monday night, unless he's undergone some sort of transformation, I wouldn't place money on him scoring against The Geordies. Might be better for him to sit this one out - we know he's good at that !

  12. 3-1 No problem. Boleyn rockin.
On a side note, ain't it great to see Chel$ki in the relegation zone.

  13. I'm not going to tempt the fates Smitty and will be happy with any result that gives us 3 points. The Boleyn has waited long enough for the first points of the last season.

Chel$ki - has Moanriniho lost his Mojo ? He certainly doesn't dress as sharp as he did when first on the scene - surely a sign of inner decay ?

  14. The power of the chocolate Weetabix! A win against a team we should actually be able to beat would give me a little more confidence about the team though.
