Trials, Tribulations and Triumphs of being 3,473 Miles from Upton Park and West Ham United (Aug 2011 - May 2016)
Had hand surgery and so unable to produce anything of quality ( "When did that start ?") right now - but expect to be soon back at it. Should have put something like this up earlier in the week, but being a West Ham boy I had unrealistic expectations of a speedy recovery. I will of course return to this glorious occasion ASAP =. In the meantime comments still welcome.
Good luck with the digits Mr P.Various odds and sods could be said about the game but it all boils down to - WE BEAT THE SCUM!!!!!!!!!! Ain't it great.
Good luck Mr P. Speedy recovery. So West Ham were almost favourites to stomp on the rotting corpse from West London, and the most impressive thing was that they didn't blow it. Simple yet effective tactics, changes made at the right time, lovely pictures of Mourinho marooned in the directors box. AC did his job- bring him on and Bam, what a good header. KUMB!
I must confess I was in something of a state of shock when the final whistle went Smitty - in 2nd Place if only for about an hour. Can't see AC going anywhere soon, looks like Super Slav knows when to pick and choose his weapons !
Cheers Filthy - as Maxie liked to point out, they do come in useful ! As for The Hammers I don't think anymore could have been asked of them on Saturday. Chel$ki got a taste of how the other half live to - complete with shaking the ref down for a red. And God Bless whoever invented Goal Line Technology !
Was the Op a" Bygraves Bypass"? The goal line tech earned it's pay. Sweet!
Filthy just learned that the official description is "Goal Decision System" for the Hawk-Eye and Walter William Bygraves for Max. The first being cheap and the second cheerful (Ouch !!!)
The site seems to be suffering from some commercial attacks - I shall delete these comments as soon as I notice them, but will make sure not to delete anything Saitch like. It's either by a robot or an idiot - trying to flog hair braids, binary investment (?) tips and marketing advice on Saitch ? I don't think so !
Back to football - can we now starting taking care of regular business and beat a team that we might be expected to beat ? I'm hoping that the only thing reassembling a banana skin tomorrow will be Watford's colours. Come On You Irons !!!!
Dubya Dubya for Max? I never knew that...I also never saw any unwelcome advertising on the hallowed site of Saitch. But glad you sent them packing...
Just "paid off" the IOU with the bona fide ChelSki Saitch, as for being #2 I quote the Upminster Kid from Sweet Gene: "…the chances were slender, the beauty was brief…"
Chelsea dipping into the Thunderbird after this one....Not often much to laugh at as a "Tommy" but this result would make the trenches seem sweeter.
Like many my Grandad was a Tommy Filthy, he was also a Hammers fan and i'd like to think he would have been laughing when Tarzan leapt in for the second a la the mighty Vic Watson !
